1. Introduction

Woblu Inc (“Woblu”, “We”, “Our”, “Us”) is a company located in Ontario, Canada that provides an online platform that allows skilled workers (e.g., plumbers, carpenters, electricians, HVAC technicians, and handypeople) to seamlessly connect with individuals who require their expertise. Because We respect the right to privacy, We have developed this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to inform users (“You”, “Your”) about Our privacy practices regarding the data collected in relation to the use of Our websites, located at www.woblu.net and www.woblu.uk (collectively the “Websites”) and Our web-based and mobile Woblu applications (collectively the “Applications”). The Websites and Applications (the “Services”) may be used to directly or indirectly distinguish, identify, or contact a specific individual (“Personal Information”). We may collect and store Personal Information in order to provide You with access to and the use of the Services.

In keeping with Our commitment to Your privacy, this Privacy Policy will apply to:

In order to facilitate the matching of skilled workers with individuals who require their services, our Applications may require the collection and use of certain geographic location information, including the GPS location of a mobile device or geographic location of a user to ensure full functionality (collectively the “Location Data”). By providing Your Location Data, You give Us permission to use and store this information. We only use this data to provide You with the features of the Applications, as well as other research purposes related to the performance and development of the Applications.

 

6. Purposes for Which We Collect and Use Your Information

6.1 Facilitating the use of the Application:

When You interact with the Applications, We may collect Personal Information for the purpose of setting up a user account, verifying Your identity, confirming Your business credentials, or providing You with requested information. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide You with the features and functionality of the Applications. 

6.2 Communicating with You:

We may use the information that You disclose to Us to communicate directly to You to respond to any customer support inquiries (e.g., support requests or account verification) or service-related emails (e.g., technical and security notices). This communication is necessary for Our legitimate interests, namely administering the Applications and communicating with You in relation to the Applications. We may also use Your information to send You communications regarding news, alerts, and marketing communications. We will only process Your Personal Information in this manner to the extent that You have given Us consent to do so and will only communicate with You in accordance with applicable anti-SPAM legislation.

Please note, that this information is only used to facilitate transactions. We do not have access to or store any payment information provided to third parties through Our Applications or Website. If You choose to delete information in Your user account, We do not retain back-up copies of such information.

With the goal of improving our Application and providing You with an optimal User experience, We collect and analyze certain data pertaining to the use and performance of the Applications. Usage Data is collected in a way that it is not associated with any specific user and does not include Personal Information. This data is purely statistical in nature and is used to understand trends and patterns, fix issues, optimize our Applications for better performance, and improve the overall user experience.
